the Benner family in 1910. Today, Benner Auto Body is a household name, renowned throughout the state as

In 2010, the torch was passed to Joseph O’Neill Jr., who continues to honor Benner’s legacy while expanding its reach and impact. Under Joe Jr.’s leadership, Benner’s Auto Body has strengthened its ties with the community, supporting a wide array of organizations, including the Cranford PD, Cranford FD, Chamber of Commerce, Goose Flights, Union County 200 Club, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Roselle Park Police Department, FDNY, Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation, Stand Up to Cancer, and the Fisher House Foundation. Joe Jr. is deeply involved in local and regional charitable initiatives, reflecting his belief that a successful business must also be a force for good.

His role on the board of directors for the National Auto Body Council allows him to extend this ethos nationally. Through initiatives like the council’s annual charity golf tournament and the Recycled Rides program, Benner’s collaborates with the New Jersey Veterans Network to donate refurbished vehicles to veterans and families in need, underscoring a dedication to supporting those who serve.

Reduced Emissions
We spray every vehicle with the highest quality waterborne paint, Glasurit 90 LINE. This reduces solvent fumes and VOC emissions by 96%, making the air cleaner for employees and the environment.
Energy Efficiency
Spray booths and air compressors are fitted with variable frequency drives. This means they only turn on when in use.
Recycling
Excess paint and thinner are always carefully recycled to minimize waste and reduce environmental impact, ensuring that our operations are as sustainable as possible.
